Konstsociologi
Arbetsgruppen inrymmer ett brett intresse för konstens roller i samhället. Musik, design, arkitektur, litteratur, datorspel, bildkonst, film, sömnad, fotografi, teater och dans är bara några exempel på konstarter som diskuteras. Frågor som behandlas rör sådant som konstens tillkomst, distribution, marknadsföring och konsumtion samt kulturella och kreativa näringar. Konstens villkor och plats i samtal, formell och informell utbildning, livshändelser, subkulturer, sjukvården, policy och offentliga miljöer är ytterligare teman som tas upp. I gruppen möts olika perspektiv och metodologiska tillvägagångssätt.
This working group houses a wide understanding of and interest in the role of art, the arts, and aesthetic expression in society. Music, design, architecture, literature, computer games, visual arts, fashion and textile arts, film, dance, photography, and theater are examples of some of the art forms that are focused on in the working group. Issues discussed can pertain to the creation or production of art, its distribution and circulation, marketing, interpretation, meaning, ascription and creation functions, and consumption. The conditions, place, and roles of art, the arts, artists, and artistic practice in society, conversation, discourse, science, formal and informal education, life events and existential experiences, subcultures, health and social care, public spaces and meetings, policy and creative industries, are among the localities, issues, and approaches taken up here. The group welcomes a wide range of topical, theoretical, and methodological approaches to the sociological analysis of art and the arts.
