Sociologisk teori
Arbetsgruppens syfte är dels att stimulera till vetenskapliga debatter och historiska analyser inom det område som vanligtvis går under beteckningen “sociologisk teori”, dels att undersöka teorins roll inom sociologin överhuvud taget. Den är öppen för alla med intresse för sociologisk teori och sociologins historia och välkomnar också bidrag som mer eller mindre explicit behandlar frågor om det som har kommit att kallas social ontologi och social epistemologi.
In this working group, we want to stimulate discussions about “sociological theory” in the broad sense of the term. The group welcomes contributions that historicize, criticize, compare or synthesize specific theories or concepts as well as those that discuss the role of theory in sociology more general. We also encourage debates about philosophical subjects such as (social) ontology and epistemology and are open to presentations or papers that critically investigate the history of sociology (for example from a postcolonial or feminist perspective).
